“Palin, delivering a paid speech to an anti-abortion group in Texas, claimed that President Barack Obama oversaw “the biggest advance of the abortion industry in America” by signing landmark health care reform legislation that, she said, allows for taxpayer-funded abortions.
“That’s why it’s essential that we use the 2010 midterms to elect a Congress that will make undoing the damage of Obamacare its first priority,” she told an audience of more than 2,500 gathered at First Baptist Church of Houston, a megachurch on the city’s west side.”

Palin: Abortion ‘essential’ issue in midterm elections – CNN Political Ticker - CNN.com Blogs

“Taxpayer-funded abortions” are the new “death panels”: Utterly untrue but effective at getting right-wing “Christians” into an unholy lather.

How can she keep saying things that are demonstrably untrue and still have as many die-hard followers as she does?

(via jonathan-cunningham)

Because that’s how the religious right get their “facts”. They don’t do any of their own research, the things they think they know are all spoonfed to them by people like Palin.

Tough titties.

Even though it’s not true, if it were: I don’t support this war, but I don’t get to nod out of my taxes because they fund the war. If I still have to fund a war I completely oppose, you still have to fund my abortion.

i could write an entire book about this taxpayer-funded abortions baloney. i wish it would go away, but unfortunately, you can’t actually ask the right to consider facts.

“We should just keep this clean - keep this simple. Go back to what our founders and founding documents meant - they’re quite clear - that we would create laws based on the God of the Bible and the Ten Commandments.” —

Lorna Bright: The Sarah Palin Plan For America

I donut recall that ever being mentioned. I don’t think She’s ever read them.
